UCF Fashion Show

So I shot the UCF Fashion show the other day for Cartel. There was a lot of pretty interesting outfits and collections but here are just a few images from the evening show!

Olympic Torch Relay, Falmouth

On the 19th May 2012, the Olympic Torch Relay began in Lands End. Throughout the day it made it's way through Cornwall to The Eden Project. It passed through Falmouth and here are just a few shots that I got from the day.

Finn Cup

I couldn't tell you anything about sailing, but there were boats about today ... Something along the lines of a couple of weeks of sailing competitions with the potential for there to be some big boats too!

Falmouth Beach Hotel Fire

Around midday on April 30th Falmouth Beach Hotel caught fire. It is believed that an incident involving a workman and a blow torch caused the fire which has ruined the building. At its peak, there were 100 firefighters trying to control the blaze which burned well into the night.  

A Floral Adventure

Today, me and a couple of other photosJ's went to The Eden Project for a nice day out photographing the latest in the world of being a photoJ. Here's what I came back with. I hope you like flowers. There are many. 

American Cemetery - Normandy

These are images which were taken at the American Cemetery in Normandy. The cemetery has over 9300 graves for the American soldiers who died either on the 6th June 1944 or in the following days of the assault in northern France. 

D-Day Landings

On the 6th June 1944, the British and their allies put into action ‘Operation Neptune’. This operation was to regain control of France starting in the north, in Normandie. There were two parts to the landing... an airborne attack where 24,000 paratroopers who were British, Canadian, American and Free French airborne troops landed shortly after midnight and an amphibious landing of Allied Infrantry on the coast of France starting at 6:30am. The assault stretched far along the coast of Normandie and the different allies had different sections of the coast to attack and regain control of.

Honfleur

Honfleur is a great little town in the Calvados department in northwestern France. I was in France during the Easter break and we stopped off in this small town on the way to Caen to grab a quick coffee.
